On Saturday, January 21, 2023 the Annapolis Marine Art Gallery will host its first Open House under new ownership in 22 years. This event is a celebration of a new year of art in Annapolis and the 40+ artists, new and old, that display their works here. It is with excitement and anticipation that each artist participating sends two or three of their best works for the exhibition.
Considering that Annapolis is a venue devoted to maritime commerce in all its forms, including art, such a show at the only gallery devoted exclusively to nautical themes only enhances the event’s significance.
In attendance will be local artists such as Sharon Littig and William Sutton. William is the winner of the Hospice Cup Artist of the Year award and his winning poster will be on sale with 50% of the proceeds going to Hospice of the Chesapeake. Also attending will be Collin Cessna, the winning artist of Paint Annapolis 2022 Mayor’s Third Place Award, Christopher Forrest whose hyperrealistic waterfowl paintings have been featured in numerous arts magazines and juried exhibitions up and down the east coast, along with many more artists represented by AMAG.
The Winter Open House will be held January 21, 2023 from 3 - 6pm at the Annapolis Marine Art Gallery
